Lichardié Construction Bois provided the cladding and flooring for this unique steel structure, suspended over a river near the village of Monestiés in the Tarn region.
This project was particularly interesting because it not only required a bespoke solution to safely install an open-joint cladding system on a steel structure, but also the development of an efficient method to quickly and uniformly produce a large quantity of Shou Sugi Ban (Yakisugi) style burnt wood cladding. The method developed was so successful that we are now able to offer it as a product for other cladding projects.
